Innovating jointly as a group effort

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders and Navalt created the cutting-edge Barracuda through a collaborative effort between the two companies. For those in the maritime industry, this is a fantastic illustration of how collaboration can lead to the development of innovative ideas.

What Sets Out the Barracuda from Other Fish

A workboat that was constructed by Navalt is called the Barracuda, and it was named after a fish that is both swift and long. The boat measures 14 meters in length and 4.4 meters in width.

It is equipped with two electric motors totaling 50 kW, a marine-grade LFP battery, and solar power that is 6 kW. Despite having an incredible range of seven hours on a single charge, it is capable of reaching a maximum speed of twelve knots.

The Challenges of Navigating Through Challenging Marine Environments

Because the Barracuda is built to swim through waves that are up to four meters high, it performs exceptionally well in waves that are rough.

The Internal Revenue Service has given its blessing, and it has the capacity to accommodate twelve individuals. It is guaranteed that the ride will be devoid of vibrations, noise, and pollution.

The process of making preparations to go green

A demonstration of the Barracuda, which is now officially known as the Saur Sakthi, is due to take place at the port that Mazagon port Shipbuilders constructed in Mumbai.

This ship is totally eco-friendly and is designed to fulfill a wide range of requirements, all while contributing to the improvement of the ocean’s cleanliness and quietness.
