Sangakkara, Rahane conferred with CEAT awards

Ajinkya Rahane won the CEAT Indian Cricketer of the Year award at a ceremony on 26th May 2015. The awards honoured the  cricketers based on their performances in international cricketing in all formats – Test, ODI and T20 – as rated by the CEAT Cricket ratings (CCR) for the year 2014 – 2015.

Rohit Sharma, expresses happiness over MI’s title triumph and described cash-rich T20 tournament as “a special moment”.

  1. International Lifetime Achievement Award: Kapil Dev
  2. International Cricketer of the Year: Kumar Sangakkara
  3. Indian Cricketer of the Year: Ajinkya Rahane
  4. International Batsman of the Year: Hashim Amla
  5. International Bowler of the Year: Rangana Herath
  6. T20 Player of the Year: Dwayne Bravo
  7. Popular Choice Award: Kieron Pollard
  8. Special Award: Rohit Sharma
  9. Domestic Cricketer of the Year: R Vinay Kumar
  10. Young Player of the Year: Deepak Hooda.

CEAT Cricket Ratings

  1. Formed: Year 1995
  2. This rating system takes into account the performances in Test Cricket and One Day Internationals.
  3. It is the first International Cricket Rating System to reward and recognize the performances on annual basis.
