Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will inaugurate the Integrated Security System (ISS). Four ISS installed with a total cost Rs 21.72 crore at four railway stations in the metropolis comprising CST, Dadar, Kurla and LTT. A total of 118 CCVs have been installed at Dadar station as part of ISS along with six monitors of 42 inches. The width of extended foot over bridge is four meters and the length is 2.5 meters across PF No 1 and 2 with an approximate cost at Rs 75 lakhs.
Under Phase-I, the work for the ground plus two structure involving shifting of some offices on the proposed site was completed in June 2015.
Under Phase-II, work on parking is expected to be complete by December 2016. The total parking area after this would be 3000 sqmt against the 700 sqmt earlier.

The security of Railway passengers and their belongings is the prime concern of Indian Railways. Providing security to passengers has become a challenge for Railways as there are increasing instances of anti-social activities which affect passenger security and safety. To address this concern, Indian Railways have introduced many measures taking advantage of the available technologies. Providing a state of the art of surveillance system in the station premises is one such effort to enhance the passenger security and safety.
