Approval Ratings for Global Leaders: The Best Performers globally

A survey conducted in September revealed that Modi has maintained a 76% approval rating, indicating that he has continually held the top position. According to his prior rankings, which were in April (76%) and February (78%), this tendency is consistent.

It is interesting that Vice President Joe Biden of the United States of America has the seventh spot on the list with an approval rating of forty percent. This represents his greatest approval rating since March came around.

The information was gathered through a survey that also included 22 world leaders.

A Consistently Popular Choice with the Lowest Rate of Disapproval

Rank Leader Approval Rating (%)
1 Prime Minister Narendra Modi 76
2 President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (Mexico) 66
3 President Alain Berset (Switzerland) 58
4 President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Brazil) 49
7 President Joe Biden (United States) 40

According to the findings of the survey, which was carried out between September 6 and September 12, 2023, Prime Minister Modi not only leads in approval but also has the lowest disapproval rating among the top 10 leaders, with only 18% of respondents expressing displeasure.

Previous studies have shown that Modi has maintained his status as the most popular leader in the world, and this pattern is consistent with those findings.

It is interesting to note that among the top 10 leaders, Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, has the highest disapproval rating, which stands at 58%.

It has been hypothesized that this is connected to the diplomatic fallout that Canada experienced with India as a result of the assassination of Khalistani terrorist Nijjar.

Modi’s Consistent Popularity in Previous Polls and Surveys

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has regularly received the highest ranking in prior Morning Consult surveys.

With a 76% approval rating, he was recognized as the “most popular” leader in April, overtaking his colleagues Joe Biden and Rishi Sunak from the United States and the United Kingdom and becoming the most popular leader overall.

With an astounding approval rating of 78%, Modi was acknowledged as the most popular global leader in the world in the month of February.
