TOPICS like syllogism, inequalities, coding decoding, linear puzzle and floor arrangement, blood relation give the surety of marks, you can score well by preparing these topics only and score around 30 out of 40 in this section. For practice there are already many sites which are providing mock tests so one should aware of those, first try their free ones, the one you find better purchase that one, and practice them regularly. First give test and then analyse in which part you are lacking and focus on that particular section more. That ST analyzing will help you in improving your score and make you learn time management also for the final test.
Book : MK Pandey, but for clerk do its theory and practice level 1 only for this exam.

Word problems (time & distance, time & work, pipes n cistern, percentage, number system, average, profit n loss, ages, ratio n proportion, simple interest, compound interest, partnership, boats and streams)
In the exam, start from DI, simplification, approximation and number series, don’t spend too much time on one qs of number series. And in the last start doing word problems. While giving ST you will know how to tackle with this portion, this section will remain quite easy but calculative, so focus more on your calculation part and learn some basic things like 20% is equivalent to 1/5, you should learn the fractions and their direct %ages, atleast upto 1/25.
For book, Sarvesh Kumar is best for practice, but again its level 1 only for practice. And RS Aggarwal is also good.

Reading comprehension
Cloze test
Find out error in the sentence
Para jumble
Fill in the blanks (double fill-ups)
Spell error (may be, as it was in pre exam also)
Sentence correction
Learn some basic rules for the error finding and sentence correction. Rest will depends on your vocabulary and reading skills only, in bank exams rules don’t help much, reading skills will, for that read maximum as you can.

Current Affairs (mainly Banking and economy related)
Books and author (can expect one or two questions)
Sports (this and that personality is related to which sports)
Nobel Prize winners (expected questions)
Awards and obituaries
Monetary policy
PM’s and President’s latest visits to countries (their related currencies and capitals)
Latest index produced by which organization (like Human Development Index Report is published by which organization) and off course rank of India in that index.

From Previous IBPS Exam we can observe that It has changed its strategy. The Pattern is same but the difficulty is enhanced and the number of questions from respective chapter has also get obstructed by IBPS. For Instance, People are well aware of that IBPS gives 5 questions from syllogism(reasoning), but its not necessary. There is no such kind of rule. IBPS can give you only 2 questions on syllogism or none (who knows? IBPS is unpredictable). So we advised our Readers to concentrate on all chapter with full attention. There is no room for discrimination to any subject in Banking.
