Introduction:

There was the Governor of Catamarca Lic. Raul Jalil, Vice Governor of Catamarca Eng. Ruben Dusso, Minister of Mines Catamarca H. E. Marcelo Murua, and Ambassador of India to Argentina H. E. Dinesh Bhatia were present when the agreement was signed.

This is the first time that a Government Company of India has looked for and mined lithium. 5. Cortadera-VI, 2. Cortadera-VII, 3. Cortadera-VIII, 4. Cateo-2022-01810132, and 5.

Cortadera-VI are the five lithium brine blocks that KABIL will start exploring and developing. They cover an area of about 15,703 hectares and are in the province of Catamarca in Argentina.

KABIL is also getting ready to open a branch office in Catamarca, Argentina. It will cost around 200 crores to complete the project.

KABIL:

With this agreement, KABIL has been given the Exploration and Exclusivity Right for 5 blocks to assess, prospect, and explore. If a lithium mineral is found, KABIL will then have the right to use it for commercial production.

This will not only help it find more lithium for India, but it will also help bring in technical and operational knowledge for exploring, mining, and extracting lithium from brine.

Lithium Source:

As part of the “Lithium Triangle” with Chile and Bolivia, Argentina has more than half of the world’s lithium resources. It also has the world’s second-largest lithium resources, third-largest lithium stocks, and fourth-largest lithium production.
