Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Indian Statistical Sevice (ISS) and Indian Economic Services (IES) 2016. This year there has been a change in Scheme of IES/ISS exam.
Exam Pattern
Part I – Written examination will carry a maximum of 1000 marks in the subjects such as General English, General Studies, Statistics I and Statistics II.
Part II – Viva voice of candidates will carry a maximum of 200 marks.
Statistics I& II will be of Objective Type Questions (80 questions with maximum marks of 200 in each paper to be attempted in 120 minutes.
The candidate who will clear the IES/ISS exam will be interviewed by a Board of competent and unbiased observers who will have before them are cord of his/her career. The interview is intended to supplement the written examination for testing the general and specialised knowledge and abilities for the candidate.
