T.K. Chand to take over as NALCO Chairman

TK Chand has been appointed as the new Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of National Aluminium Company (NALCO). The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended RINL Director T K Chand’s name for appointment as CMD of the NALCO in November last year after short listing 11 candidates.

He is currently working as the director of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL)’s Vishakhapatnam unit.
chand will succeed Ansuman Das as the NALCO Chairman.

Chand who began his career as a management trainee in RINL since 1983 and promoted to his current position (Director) with effect from September 22, 2010. He has wide exposure in the metal and mining industry, having worked as a Director in Coal India and Central Coal Ltd, etc.
