Armament and Combat Engineering Systems (ACE), which is part of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), is responsible for the creation of SARVATRA, which is a remarkable example of innovation in bridging solutions. It guarantees that the Indian Army will have uninterrupted connectivity.

How SARVATRA Can Help Bridge the Gap

With its ability to quickly bridge gaps, particularly over bodies of water, SARVATRA has emerged as a shining example of innovation. Its purpose is to improve the Indian Army’s connectivity and facilitate more efficient logistical operations.

The SARVATRA system, which was developed in conjunction with Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), exemplifies the synergy that exists between government agencies and the private sector in the process of strengthening the nation’s security.

Important Characteristics of SARVATRA Rapid Deployment

The truck-mounted design of SARVATRA makes it possible for it to be quickly assembled, guaranteeing that it is ready for operation within one hundred minutes. This is an essential capability in the event of emergencies and natural catastrophes.

Constructed from aluminum alloy, the five scissor bridges that make up SARVATRA can traverse distances of up to 75 meters and easily overcome a variety of terrain problems. Their construction is characterized by its excellent longevity.

Adaptive Design: SARVATRA is equipped with telescopic legs, which allow it to vary its height from 2.5 meters to six meters. This allows it to minimize visibility while simultaneously increasing the operational flexibility of the Indian Army.
