1. World’s Highest Observatory Inaugurated in Chile by University of Tokyo

The Atacama telescope (TAO), which was opened by the University of Tokyo, holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s tallest telescope.

At an amazing 5,640 meters above sea level on top of Cerro Chajnantor in Chile’s Antofagasta Region, TAO is a symbol of how creative and determined people can be.

Putting the 6.5-meter Optical-Infrared Telescope on display

A 6.5-meter optical-infrared telescope is at the centre of TAO. Its job is to help us figure out the mysteries of the world.

This cutting-edge tool will be used to study the basic structure of the universe, adding to our growing understanding of the world we live in.

2. Most Powerful Passport in the World 2024

According to the Henley Passport Index, passports are rated by how many places their owners can visit without a visa, which is also known as “visa-free access.”

It checks 227 countries, regions, and micro-states against 199 passports. When it first started in 2006, it was called the Henley & Partners Visa Restrictions Index. In January 2018, it changed its name to the Henley Passport Index.

The World’s Strongest Passport 2024

The Henley Passport Index for 2024, which was just revealed, ranks 199 countries by how strong their passports are.

France is now in first place on the list because its passport lets people enter 194 countries without a visa.

The fact that France has been recognized makes its passport the strongest in the world for 2024. This gives French people the best travel and mobility options around the world.

Where India Stands in the 2024 Henley Passport Index

While India is still ranked 85th in the Henley Passport Index 2024, it is one spot lower than it was the previous year.

Even with this drop, the number of countries that let Indian passport users enter without a visa has gone up from 60 to 62.

This subtle change is a result of both India’s changing position in the world and the fact that visa rules are always changing around the world, which affects the travel freedom and mobility of Indian people.
