1. ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Bike Rally Flagged-off On Independence Day 2023

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has flagged off the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ motorcycle rally at Pragati Maidan in Delhi.

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) initiative, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is scheduled to take place nationwide from August 13 to 15. The campaign aims to inspire individuals to display the national flag at their residences proudly.

After the flag-off, the bike rally will reach the India Gate circle. The rally will then move around the India Gate complex, crossing the Kartavya Path and culminating at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium.

AKAM is an ongoing celebration to commemorate 75 glorious years of a progressive independent India. This initiative by the Government of India aims to bring in focus on the freedom struggle, and the milestones this nation has achieved.

2. Government of India Forms New Standing Committee on Statistics to Enhance Oversight of NSO Data

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken stringent action by imposing monetary penalties totaling Rs 4.20 lakh on four cooperative banks.

These banks – Vita Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd, Shri Vinayak Sahakari Bank Ltd, Shreeji Bhatia Cooperative Bank Ltd, and Mizoram Urban Cooperative Development Bank Ltd – have been found to be in breach of various regulations set forth by the central banking authority.
