Nirbhay Sharma sworn in as Governor of Mizoram

Lt General (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma has sworn-in as the Governor of Mizoram at Raj Bhavan. Justice T Vaiphei, Judge of the Gauhati HC has administered the oath of office to General Sharma. The sworn in ceremony was attended by State CM Lal Thanhawla, his cabinet ministers, legislators from both the ruling Congress and the opposition Mizo National Front (MNF)..etc.

General Sharma was the former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. He was transferred and appointed as Mizoram Governor by President Pranab Mukherjee. Previously it was West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi who took additional charge of Mizoram.
