3. Nigeria Becomes First Country to Roll Out New Meningitis Vaccine

5. Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi Appointed as Next Chief of the Naval Staff

The Vice Admiral was born on May 15, 1964, and joined the Indian Navy’s Executive Branch on July 1, 1985.

He is an expert in Communication and Electronic Warfare and has had a successful job for almost 39 years.

He was the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Naval Command before becoming the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff.

Vice Admiral Tripathi has been in charge of the Indian Naval Ships Vinash, Kirch, and Trishul, among others.

He has been the Fleet Operations Officer of the Western Fleet, the Director of Naval Operations, the Principal Director of Network Centric Operations, and the Principal Director of Naval Plans at New Delhi, among other important tactical and staff positions.
