BHEL and Russia’s INTMA signed to set up a gas-based power project in Kazakhstan

State-owned power equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed an MoU with a Russian company INTMA, to set up a gas-based power project in Kazakhstan. BHEL is mainly engaged in manufacturing of power plant equipment like gas turbines, steam turbines, hydro turbines and boilers. BHEL has a wide experience in construction of power plants in India and overseas. BHEL is currently operating 23 major projects in 16 countries and has a presence in more than 75 countries.

The MoU’s main objective is to set forth a path to combine BHEL’s competence in design and manufacturing of power plants and INTMA’s strength in handling Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts.
