Prime Minister Narendra Modi appoints Mahesh Sharma as point person for Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s has a designated point person in tourism minister Mahesh Sharma to keep a close track of all projects, complaints and suggestions pertaining to Varanasi, the holy city. Modi has chosen the tourism minister with this job since he is unable to visit the city frequently because of his tight schedule as PM. Sharma is expected to keep the Prime Minister informed about all that is happening in the constituency.
