The mass line dance known as square dancing in China was performed by 50,085 across 14 Chinese cities including Nanjing, Shanghai and Chengdu. The main event was held in Beijing but the huge Guinness World Records attempt covered a total of 12 cities across the country. The previous record was set by 31,697 line dancers across six Chinese cities on May 21, 2016.
