In the Munich Open Final, Britain’s Andy Murray has won his first clay-court title by defeating Philipp Kohlscreiber of Germany 7-6 (7-4) 5-7 7-6 (7-4). It is Andy Murray’s 32nd ATP title and he is preparing for the French Open at the end of the month. He became the first Briton to win an ATP-ranked event on clay since Buster Mottram in Palma in April 1976.

The British number one was presented with a pair of traditional Bavarian lederhosen, which he pulled on for the trophy ceremony. He was also awarded a brand new BMW i8 by the tournament sponsors.
